Results That Count

  • Catch Health — 5-year engagement as Sr. Dev / Tech Lead at a 400K+ member health insurance marketplace. Built the AI compliance monitoring platform and designed the analytics integration layer connecting disparate carrier, broker, and member data into a unified reporting pipeline.
  • Designed near-real-time compliance systems supporting thousands of concurrent users. Audit trails, access controls, and evidence collection built in, not bolted on.
  • Shipped broker and member management systems integrating policy admin, carrier feeds, CRM, and commission engines — collapsing months of manual data bridging into scheduled pipelines.
  • Built Scour (scour.georgerios.com) — a technology stack assessment tool that maps your entire landscape: automated inventory, health scoring, and a prioritized remediation roadmap. HIPAA-aware from day one.
  • Also ship WorkJet (workjet.dev) — an AI workbench for teams routed through your own AI gateway for governance and cost control — and Worktale (worktale.org) — a privacy-first CLI that turns git history into structured work records. I build the tools I use.
  • 30-day Systems Map delivered on every Embedded engagement — the first complete picture most healthtech teams have ever seen of their own stack, with PHI flows clearly mapped.
Point of view

In My Voice

“In healthcare, fragmentation isn't just inefficient — it's a HIPAA exposure. PHI copied across five systems, each with a different access policy, each with a different audit trail. That's not an architecture problem. That's a breach waiting for a subpoena.”
“I spent five years inside a 400K-member health insurance marketplace. I know what the data actually looks like: enrollments, carrier feeds, commissions, member portal activity, compliance events. And I know how fast it sprawls when nobody's defragmenting.”
“I don't sell you a new platform. I build the connective tissue between what you already have — with audit trails, access controls, and PHI handling baked in.”

Challenges I Solve for Healthcare & Healthtech

01

Analytics Integration Layer

Unify carrier feeds, member activity, claims data, and marketing analytics into one reporting pipeline. One answer to “how many active members do we have?”

02

AI Compliance Monitoring

LLM-powered monitoring over communications, workflows, and marketing materials to flag compliance risk in near-real-time. Built and shipped one at Catch Health.

03

Broker & Member Management

Unified broker portal and member experience — enrollment, commissions, licensing, and support collapsed into one operational picture instead of five disconnected tools.

04

Carrier & Payer Integration

EDI feeds, carrier APIs, rating engines, and enrollment systems unified behind a single integration layer. Stop hand-maintaining connectors that break every quarter.

05

HIPAA-Aware Architecture

PHI flow mapping, access controls, audit trails, and de-identification pipelines designed in. Systems Map includes PHI paths by default — the MRI before the audit.

06

Fractional CTO / Embedded Sprint

Embed for 90 days alongside your current leadership. Systems Map in 30 days. Interop layers in 60. Hand off with knowledge transferred and documentation your team can maintain.

About

About Me

I'm a fractional CTO with 25+ years walking into fragmented technology landscapes and building the connective tissue. My background spans JPMorgan Chase merger infrastructure, Ernst & Young's global SOX compliance platform, and five years as Tech Lead at Catch Health, a 400K-member health insurance marketplace where I built the AI compliance platform and the analytics integration layer.

I build the tools I use — Scour for stack assessment, WorkJet as an AI workbench for governed team AI, Worktale for privacy-first proof-of-work, plus purpose-built integration frameworks and LLM-powered compliance tooling. I write the code, design the architecture, and manage the vendors. No consulting-firm layer between the thinking and the shipping.

I work directly with CEOs, CMOs, and founders at $25-50M revenue healthtech, payer, and marketplace companies where 15-30 SaaS tools have accreted — and nobody owns the full map of PHI or the full map of the stack.

Engagement models

Engagement Models

Three ways to work together — from an embedded 90-day sprint to ongoing advisory. Every engagement starts with the same deliverable: a complete Systems Map within 30 days, with PHI flows mapped alongside the stack.

01Recommended

Embedded

A fractional CTO embedded in your operations, driving defragmentation end-to-end with HIPAA-aware architecture from day one. I join your team, work alongside your people, and deliver measurable reduction in system fragmentation.

  • Full systems fragmentation audit: apps, databases, APIs, vendors, shadow IT — with PHI flow mapping
  • Systems Map delivered within 30 days — a living document of your entire tech landscape
  • Build interop layers, unified APIs, and data pipelines that collapse redundant systems and de-risk PHI
  • Hire, evaluate, and manage vendors and contractors against the integration roadmap
  • Weekly planning calls; daily async availability · 3-month minimum
02

Half-Day Systems Review

A focused 4-hour session to diagnose fragmentation and deliver an actionable consolidation plan. Ideal ahead of a compliance audit, payer integration project, or board-level tech review.

  • 7–14 day preparatory period to access repos, infrastructure, vendor contracts, and PHI inventory
  • On-site or remote deep-dive with technical, compliance, and business stakeholders
  • Walk away with: Fragmentation Report, Integration Punch List, 90-Day Consolidation Roadmap
03

Advisor

A long-term advisory relationship to guide your integration roadmap after the initial engagement. Available after completing an Embedded sprint or Half-Day Systems Review.

  • Twice-monthly strategy calls to review progress, re-prioritize, and unblock
  • Quarterly roadmap refresh aligned to clinical, compliance, and business goals
  • Unlimited async correspondence — email, Slack, or your preferred channel
  • Architecture review on new vendor selections and infrastructure changes · 6-month minimum
// the thesis

Why defragmentation beats “more software”

Everyone over 30 remembers watching their hard drive defragment — scattered blocks consolidating into contiguous space, the system getting faster as the gaps close. Your healthtech stack is no different.

At $25–50M, you have 15–30 SaaS tools. Member data lives in four systems. PHI moves through paths nobody fully documented. A contractor wrote a sync script in 2019 that bridges the portal and the carrier feed, and everyone panics when it breaks. Nobody planned this — it accreted.

I don't rip and replace. I map the landscape, build the connective tissue, and consolidate what's redundant — with audit trails and PHI handling baked in. 30 days to a Systems Map. 90 days to measurable reduction.
